Monday - Lab result and...

Yeah!  Bacterial growth!  Draw your agar plate to complete your first lab.

Then practise your agar plate streaking with jello plates before taking ONE of your bacterial colonies and streaking a new agar plate and then complete lab #2 (Antibacterial/antiseptic testing).

Review through extinction and endangered species.

Answered questions (use textbook) -
1.  What causes phenotypic variation?
2. How is phenotypic variation related to natural selection?
3. Define evolution in genetic terms? (e.g. allelic frequency, gene, gene pool)
4.  Scientists notice that individuals in a plant species are growing taller with each generation.  Explain what is happening to the gene pool of this population.

Welcome!

I am so happy when students finally come back as my job is very strange (and really boring) without you!  I am really looking forward to our semester together!

You brave, brave souls!  Biology 11 at 7:50 in the morning!!  I will do my best to make this a lively class to help us all wake-up.

Course schedule will be every Monday and Thursday and every second Wednesday.  Class starts at 7:50 promptly and will finish at 8:50.  Please do not be late as we need to be very productive for our hour together.  Find full schedule here
